MOROCCO · SUGGESTED CITY & COAST JOURNEY
Marrakech &
the Atlantic Coast
Six proposed days pairing Marrakech’s city atmosphere with a stay in Essaouira. Spend time in the medina, pause beside the Atlantic and return to Marrakech, with fewer changes of base than a journey across several regions.
A suggested six-day outline to shape around your dates and interests. Accommodation, visits, transfers and prices require confirmation before booking.

Travel pace
City stays + coastal pause
City energy, then room to slow down
This suggested route gives Marrakech and Essaouira time of their own. Begin with two nights in Marrakech, travel to the Atlantic for two nights in Essaouira, then return for a final night in Marrakech. The outline keeps the journey within two bases instead of adding distant regions to a short visit.
The appeal is the change of setting: city lanes and gardens followed by ramparts, harbour views and time near the sea. Having a full day in each place leaves room to discuss guided visits, independent time and the pace you enjoy. Those choices will shape the final itinerary.
Two places, two different rhythms
Marrakech
A starting point for medina walks, garden visits and city architecture.
Essaouira
An Atlantic setting with old-town streets, ramparts and a working harbour.
Time between plans
A route with room for a coastal pause, rather than a different overnight stop every day.
These descriptions explain the destinations. Guided visits, meals, entrance tickets and coastal activities are options to discuss, not confirmed inclusions.
Your proposed six-day route
Use this outline to decide where you would like more time. Arrival and departure arrangements, overnight stays and any services will be agreed in your confirmed itinerary.
DAY 01
Arrive in Marrakech
Begin your Morocco visit in Marrakech and settle in. The first day is deliberately open so the pace can suit your arrival time and the journey you have already made.
Share your arrival city, flight or onward travel details, and accommodation preferences. Any airport transfer, early check-in or activity needs separate confirmation.
DAY 02
A day to discover Marrakech
Keep a full day for Marrakech’s medina and gardens. Discuss the places that interest you and whether you prefer a guided introduction, independent time or a balance of the two.
Visits, guiding, tickets and transport within the city should be specified in the quotation. A destination mentioned in the outline is not automatically an included visit.
DAY 03
Marrakech → Essaouira
Travel to Essaouira and spend the afternoon getting to know the old town. The coastal stay changes the rhythm of the trip, with a proposed two-night base rather than a same-day return.
Agree the transfer arrangements, departure time, luggage needs and accommodation location. The available afternoon will depend on the final travel schedule.
DAY 04
A full day beside the Atlantic
Spend a full day in Essaouira, with time to discuss the ramparts, harbour area and coast. Leave room for old-town exploring and an unhurried pause instead of filling every hour.
Tell us whether you want a guide, independent time or a particular activity. Weather, access and any activity conditions may affect plans; bookings and costs need confirmation.
DAY 05
Essaouira → Marrakech
Return to Marrakech for the final proposed overnight stay. A relaxed evening can bring the city-and-coast journey to a close before your departure the following day.
Confirm the return timing and where you would like to stay. The last night in Marrakech is part of the suggested route, with accommodation and transport arrangements still to be agreed.
DAY 06
Departure from Marrakech
Bring the journey to a close in Marrakech, timed around your onward plans. Share your departure details early so the final morning can be planned sensibly.
An airport transfer, luggage storage or late checkout is not included by default. Ask for any arrangements you need and have their timing and cost confirmed.
Marrakech destination stock photography for inspiration. It does not show an included visit, confirmed accommodation or Anir Voyage departure.
Let your arrival and departure set the pace
This outline begins and ends in Marrakech, with the coastal stay in the middle. Tell us when you arrive and leave before choosing the daily programme. Late arrival or an early departure can change how much city time is available, so six calendar days do not necessarily mean six full sightseeing days.
The route has two main intercity travel stages: Marrakech to Essaouira and the return. That creates fewer changes of base than the suggested desert journeys, while still requiring time on the road. Exact timings depend on the agreed pickup points, stops and conditions.
Share mobility needs, luggage requirements and your preferred accommodation location. Old-town exploring, guided visits and activities should suit your group. If you want longer by the Atlantic or a different finish city, discuss an adjusted route before confirming the details.
Make the arrangements clear before booking
There is no fixed price or service package attached to this proposed city-and-coast route. Ask for a written itinerary and quotation based on your dates, group size and chosen arrangements, so you can see what is included and what remains your responsibility.
Details to agree in your quotation

02 Five nights: suggested Marrakech, Essaouira and final Marrakech stays.
03 Accommodation locations, room types and any accessibility requirements.
04 Guiding, city visits, tickets, meals and chosen activities.
05 Total price, transport arrangements, inclusions and exclusions.
06 Payment, changes and cancellation terms before booking.
These are questions to resolve, not a list of services already included.
Questions about the city-and-coast journey
Is this an Essaouira day trip?
No. This six-day suggestion includes a proposed two-night stay in Essaouira, with a full day there between the outward and return journeys. If you have less time, ask about a separate day-trip idea rather than assuming this route can fit into one day.
Does this route include the Sahara?
This outline focuses on Marrakech and Essaouira and does not visit Merzouga or the Sahara dunes. If the desert is your priority, compare the suggested Sahara routes on the Tours page and discuss the time needed for the longer travel stages.
Are guided visits and coastal activities included?
No inclusion list has been confirmed. Tell us which visits or experiences you would like to discuss, then check guiding, transport, entry fees and activity arrangements in the quotation. Independent time and organised visits should be clearly distinguished.
Can I stay longer in Essaouira?
Use the outline to discuss extra coastal nights, more Marrakech time or a different finish. The route, accommodation, transfers and price would need to be revised around the dates and arrangements you agree.
What should I send to receive a quotation?
Send your travel dates, number of travellers, arrival and departure details, and the accommodation style and pace you prefer. Mention any guiding or activities you want to discuss, then request a written itinerary, total price, inclusions, exclusions and terms.
